Do you own a gun? If not, you should probably consider buying one while you still can.
The Covid-19 Pelosi Payoff bill hasn’t even been through the reconciliation process yet, and the ink on the HR 1 “For the People” act is barely dry, and the Democrats are already beginning hearings on a whole slew of anti-gun bills.
To say that they are hell bent on passing as much of their corrupt agenda as fast as thy can would be an understatement. And gun control is now at the top of their wish list.
Congress is set to vote on Wednesday on the first two (of many) gun control bills that will expand the federal background check system: HB 1446 – Enhanced Background Check Act of 2021 and HR8 – Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019.
The first bill would extend the time for the FBI to conduct a background check from three days to 20 days while the second bill would outlaw private sales of used guns unless they are processed through a licensed firearms dealer.
Under current law, a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) is allowed to legally sell a firearm if a background check from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is still pending after three days. The FFL is not required to complete the transaction but they can proceed if they believe the buyer is not a felon.
The second bill prohibits a firearm transfer between private parties unless a licensed gun dealer, manufacturer, or importer first takes possession of the firearm to conduct a background check” with some exceptions.
But these two bills are just the tip of the iceberg. There are dozens of other bills in both the House and the Senate that are have been proposed and will be considered in the near future.
All of these anti-gun bills have one common goal – to restrict (if not eliminate) your right to keep and bear arms.
And if the Democrats have their way, your ability to buy a gun may be severely limited.
So, my suggestion to you is if you don’t own a gun, go buy one – now! If you do own a gun, or guns, go buy more. You will be glad you did.
And don’t forget ammunition. Lots of it. A gun without ammunition is useless. You cannot have too much ammunition.
Consider it an investment. The way things are going, lead (in the form of bullets) may become more valuable than silver or gold.
Oh, and one other thing. Call or write your Congressman/woman and Senator and ask them to vote against any all bills that infringe on your 2nd Amendment rights, and to support the few bills that do support your rights (yes there are actually a few “good” gun bills).
It is always better to fight a battle with ballots than with bullets. But it is also a good idea to be prepared for whatever happens.
Good luck.
